Storm Callum hits Northeastern UK

Oct 12 , 2018

The Northeastern coast of the UK is getting battered by Storm Callum, the third named storm of the season. Over 2,000 homes throughout Northern Ireland, Wales, and the North-East coast of England are without power. Winds have been recorded upwards of 60mph.

Cornwall seems to be the hardest-hit area, with many reports of downed trees and crushed cars. One tour bus narrowly missed being crushed when a tree fell down on the road right before them.

There were many parts of the area that were flooded when the flood walls were breached. Many flights out of Belfast, Isle of Man, and Exeter were cancelled.
